The manual path: match by hand in 4 steps
If your favorite Codex skin has no terminal port, do it by hand:
- Read the skin’s palette. Open the skin’s detail page — the color values are listed there. Note the background, foreground, and accent hexes.
- Create a terminal theme file. Most emulators (iTerm2, Windows Terminal, kitty, WezTerm) accept a simple hex-based theme. Map: background → terminal background, foreground → terminal text, accent → terminal cursor/bright color.
- Keep luminance close. Don’t match the hue exactly but let the terminal be lighter or darker by more than ~20% — your eyes will notice the jump.
- Test in a real session. Run
ls, a git log, andvimfor two minutes. If the background seams are invisible, you’re done.
